Coco would be pleased
Don't you think Coco Chanel would be please with this French inspired bedroom I designed? My wonderful clients live in a lovely old home near Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Large tapestry pillows thick with fringe play off the Claude Monet garden inspired wallpaper. To rest under the fluffy down comforter or on the chaise lounge tucked nicely in the corner, oh the choices!

Up High in a Turret
Imagine the inhabitant of this sherbet toned Victorian charmer. She paints away the days high in the turret, her yorkie by her side. Oops, I daydream...
Isn't this painting wonderful? It is created by the artist Kim VanDerHoek. All Kim's work seems magical to me~ soft, and soothing yet powerful in message and technique. Visit her lovely blog to see her other fine work, you'll love her paintings too. I must get back to my turret in the sky.......

William Morris tile
Do you love this taupe wall tile and it's border complete with crackled glazing? Another design selection for my bathroom renovation. Perhaps you remember the French style sink already chosen; the old world charm of the tile repeats the Flea Market style in my adjoining bedroom. Only available to designers, it can be ordered for you too. Acanthus leaf tile border reminds me of a William Morris fabric pattern.

Lovely Weekend
A relaxing weekend is what I wish for everyone! Rest on a French day bed, your book illuminated by a vintage chandelier and sink into the large down pillow. I could spend the entire day here , most of it daydreaming....
Happy Mother's Day!

Martha's Vineyard
Beachy, yet warm and inviting for all seasons! Went to Martha’s Vineyard last weekend with Kara where not only was it a great time but I stayed in her house that I was fortunate to decorate! Wonderful hospitality, as always, wish I was there right now!!.

Aqua colored walls reflect the cool ocean while wood tones warm the space. One large room satisfies dining and leisure. After a day at the beach or one of Kara’s gourmet meals the comfy sectional beckons!
"My Bedroom" (sorry Dana Evan) is yellow and peach, am I not lucky?
Kara found and purchased on island a CD of the band, Nouvell Vague, whose soothing song she heard on a blog. Unlike that song, this CD contained dramatic songs like “Bella Lugosi Died” and “The Human Fly” that sound like the names imply. Made for fun listening on the ride home. thanks~ buzz buzz buzz….
*added the "Human Fly" song to the bottom of my playlist*
