The BRAYTON COTTAGE is one of my two shops on Etsy.

I thought it needed a new face to coordinate with my shop’s header design.

It all started with this wonderful old photo from 1924 that I purchased.

MY OFFICE ORGANIZING: PRETTY AND PRACTICAL

How do you organize your home office?

Is it possible to create a space that looks good and is practical?

Here is how I try to keep my things together...

In a primitive black painted cabinet in my study/ home office, I house things that are for sale on my shops and magazine photos I save for future inspiration.

this is just one storage solution I use,

always looking for other inventive ideas...

do you have any ideas to share?

Library Desk Treasures

The library at the homestead houses a favorite piece of furniture, a tiger maple desk, given to me by my Mom. It was given to her by a dear neighbor, Mrs. Terry. There gathered are my most treasured photographs...

with pencils I brought back from Baker Steet, Doyle in his cowboy outfit, Mom and Dad, son, Doyle again at Christmas, and Krumpet in his
Sherlock Holmes' cap. His little hat placed gently on the frame..

and Dad, this was his detective work photo.

Yes, there seems to be a detective theme with Dad...

and our family last name is Doyle ( Sir Arthur Conan- related??) after all .

thanks for looking and visiting my homestead...

Please enjoy these pictures of my study for Christmas at the homestead and thank you for visiting. My sepia display includes a cloth Santa I made from vintage fabrics, a reindeer made by a friend during art school, lanterns my sister Aggie bought for me in Morocco, raffia and wood beads all compliment the original 1796 fireplace and raised panel door...
