Makes me Smile

An oversized hat with huge floral blossoms makes me smile, I could so wear that, really...

Crumbly walls in pinkish purple make me smile, I could so live there, really..

pink hair, makes me smile, if I were 10 years younger I would so do that, really...

orchids, one of nature's finest flowers makes me sigh and smile, if I could actually keep one alive I would raise them, really,

What makes you smile today?

Santa are you listening?

Hi Santa,
It's me Karen. I just wanted to tell you that I have been a very good girl this year...

I tried to make your job of gift giving very easy for you this year.

Here are my favorite things all together in these treasuries  I made on Etsy.
Thank you,
Karen

Etsy is the perfect place to shop for Christmas, and make your own wish list.
For me that means always hats, jewelry, vintage oddities~ usually in pinks, grays and tans...

Brayton Homestead

Maybe you noticed my new blog banner? It is the Brayton Homestead, circa 1796, that I am so fortunate to live in and own. Here is an old black and white photo from 1934 that I just found for sale on ebay. As a relatively young widow, my Mom purchased this Federal house that she and my dad had always admired. Daring step is it not? That 's Mom, now 87, a woman ahead of her time, trend setter, artist, traveler, etc. Pictured here with Dad, wonder where I got the hat thing…
