Easter Wishes

Many Wishes for you and your families this Easter weekend. I took this picture in a restaurant while traveling on business. It was the end of a hallway. It seemed cheerful and exuberant; it reflected the renewal of spring's landscapes and this holiday weekend.
Enjoy and give thanks...

From my years of teaching art I fondly remember how much I loved the vacations! These are items past, present and those to be listed from my Brayton Cottage. To those  in the midst of it, enjoy...

MY OFFICE ORGANIZING: PRETTY AND PRACTICAL

How do you organize your home office?

Is it possible to create a space that looks good and is practical?

Here is how I try to keep my things together...

In a primitive black painted cabinet in my study/ home office, I house things that are for sale on my shops and magazine photos I save for future inspiration.

this is just one storage solution I use,

always looking for other inventive ideas...

do you have any ideas to share?

POLKA DOTS: VERSATILE WONDERS!

I |  just  | love |  polka | dots |

Do You?

When decorating, polka dots coordinate nicely with stripes and solids.
I like to mix them with plaids and tapestries too but a bit more thought is needed to make it work.

polka dots can be nostalgic or whimsical...

handmade or vintage...

I especially love red and white polka dots!

the color combination is perfect.
Can be seen in decorating, fashion and nature. Polka dots can be classic,
or modern. Try them in your next project.

Have a wonderful week!

MY HOMESTEAD: LIBRARY CIRCA 1796

Can you hear the faint sound of violins?

a casual violin concert at the homestead , circa 1796, was a dream.
vintage chairs lined up waiting for guests...

tapestry and burlap pillows for the music lovers that selected the Victorian sofa...

Sunshine streams into the library...

there was even an audience of ceramic dogs enjoying the music.

spaniels and of course yorkies...

on my parent's 25th wedding anniversary silver tray...

a lovely time...

hope you enjoyed,
Karen

Thanks for visiting!
