September Barn Chick Meeting

Welcome to the Barn Chick September meeting!
This month meeting at my barn
OK- it is really the artist Warren Kimble's barn
that I photographed and love!

please enter my appropriately red side entrance mudroom
yes mine- you may leave your Barn Chick boots on...

a little vintage stool helps corral the mail...

I recieved this surprise package from the lovely
Julie Marie at Idyllhours
after the last meeting
-thank you...

she had such good time, she sent these as thank you gifts.
the lovely barn/apple trivet, fall ornament and barn card
served as my inspiration for this month's theme
all about barns and apples...

Julie Marie will be hosting next months Barn Chick meeting
October 8, 2010

all barns are special, I think.
Thus far this barn in my town has been saved from demolition.
I love the graphic repetition of the windows...

the outside combination of materials
stone
wood sill
and shingles...

and it's high reaching, vault like soaring beams
are gorgeous
must save this barn...

another barn in my town
of Somerset, Massachusetts.
rustic, faded, and photographed in blazing sunlight,
this barn is a beauty...

Did you notice the horse peeking out to say hi?
We both want to thank you for visiting!
see you next month at Idyllhours!

Oh Karen-I'm not sure if I'm on or not. The linky thing seems to be having problems. If I am on more than once-I'm sooo sorry. You're barn pictures are wonderful-I love the close up details and my favorite one with the horse peeking around the corner. Thanks for letting me join in your fun!

Oh, this looks like such fun! I absolutely adore old barns. People make a point of telling me where there's one I haven't seen so I can grab my camera and run!

Hi Karen,
I love your barn that has thusfar been saved from demolition! It is just beautiful! I hope it is never town down, but restored instead.

My hubby used to whine a bit whenever I wanted him to stop the car so I could take a BARN photo...now he takes HIS camera to work and photographs them on his way home! Can you believe it??? I can't! lol
Blessings~
