Ever After~ White Wednesday

Atop a graceful hill glows a limestone castle surrounded by fields of lavender as far as the eye can see. Fit for a handsome prince waiting to meet his true love, yet no room in this spacious residence for any wicked step mothers and surly step sisters.
~
Gisele, thanks for your comment on my last post,
I can see now that my silver beaded slippers on esty are reminiscent
of the classic love story movie
"Ever After"

This Chateau located in France (pictured above),
where the movie was filmed is spectacular
with its French limestone, domed roof tops
and perfectly manicured privet hedge...

the costumes
especially this costume ball gown
is so breathtaking

Just Breathe...

of course, anything that even hints of Leonardo DaVinci I love!

So thank you Gisele
and everyone, for your lovely comments.
and be sure to check out White Wednesday at Faded Charm...

vintage barns~ White Wednesday

I love vintage barns and I love weddings.
What it is about an old crumbly barn
and new vows of a wedding that go so well together?

Crackling paint mixed with the perfect amount of rust create a

wonderful barn door in my town of Somerset, Massachusetts.

You may remember a post where my twin brother was married
in a gorgeous barn converted into a restaurant.
I always loved barns but more so with the Brayton Homestead,
circa 1796, that had a barn~ long since gone...

and thank you FabricatedFamily
for including my Moroccan slippers in your etsy treasury.

and this is my first time participating in Faded Charm's White Wednesday.

Happy Weekend

The heat is here~ just right~ not too hot. I would like to say that I have been having a productive weekend. However, except for going to yard sales ( which I really should be banned from as I exhibit no self control) it has been a couple days of rest and relaxation. Lots of wonderful vintage jewelry was found though!

Hope you have a wonderful weekend !

blog giveway - let's dance

There once was a little girl who loved to dance. She would whirl and twirl around her canopy bed. Her Mom brought her to ballet lessons when she was 4 1/2.
Thanks Mom!
I took lessons until I graduated from high school
then danced in the state dance company.
Mom drove me to dance lessons for years and years... she watched countless dance recital rehearsals
until I am sure she knew all the dances by heart...

So here's to you Mom with all my love
and thanks to you for reading.
Enter my giveaway by following my blog and leaving a comment.
Post about it or put my button on your side post
for another entry...
