A vintage suitcase transforms into the perfect container for red and white petunias.
It was so Simple and Fun, you have to try it!
just put the potted plant into the suitcase. You could fill with moss if you wish.
enjoy!

What a clever use for that old suitcase! The flowers sure perk it up!
RED AND YELLOW LULLABY
Red is the color of cherries, not cheese;
Yellow the backs of the sweet honeybees;
Red the fair hair of the Derry Town maid;
Yellow the yolk of the brown egg fresh-laid;
Red are the wounds of the sun going down;
Yellow the daisies beloved by the clown;
Rainbows of colors, delighting the eye—
Yellow and scarlet for this lullaby.

Clever idea, girl! Is that new clapboard I see on the old homestead?
I have used a lot of differet things for my flowers, but never an overnight case. Yours certainly looks very nice.
Very cute!
Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic idea. I never would have thought of something like that, but I like the way it looks. Happy Rednesday from Buddhatropolis.com
What a great idea! I also like the idea of filling in the rest with peat moss, which has really become my BFF this summer :) The stuff does wonders in keeping plants cozy when the heat index is 107 and I refuse to leave the house to even water!
Love the combination and color!! Gisele said
Beautiful,I love that idea!
Way cute! Red flowers are the best!
Now I love old suitcases but never ever thought to use them outside. I declare, the ideas I get from blogland are just amazing! Love the sweet petunias in it. :)
So glad you linked this post to Fishtail Cottages garden party! I love seeing fantastic finds like yours in the garden! xoxo, tracie
I once flew on a ticket I won up to Annie's Annuals for the day. Took my suitcases- and filled them with plants.
Thank you for the memory.
