Brayton Homestead

Maybe you noticed my new blog banner? It is the Brayton Homestead, circa 1796, that I am so fortunate to live in and own. Here is an old black and white photo from 1934 that I just found for sale on ebay. As a relatively young widow, my Mom purchased this Federal house that she and my dad had always admired. Daring step is it not? That 's Mom, now 87, a woman ahead of her time, trend setter, artist, traveler, etc. Pictured here with Dad, wonder where I got the hat thing…

Hi, thanks so much for stopping by, hope you visit often. That's great that you live in this home and know the history. I'm a bit of a history buff, that's probably what has attracted me to selling antiques. Hope you have a great Mother's Day!
