Ahoy

The sunroom I decorated for a sailor and his crew, other wise known as the man of the house and his family. Nautical stripes, embroidered sailboat fabric, warm woods and sisal carpet on tile make this room perfect year round.
Try to get in all the boating the season allows or let me design a room for you!! Ahoy......

Love the curtains, are they burlap?

Great nautical theme and love the mission furniture. It's subtle and not over the top. The shelving above the windows is great. Adds so much to the architecture of the room. Also love the warm colors.

I love the big sailing boat and the small one up on the high shelf!

Roll up curtains is a pleasant, and unconventional feature for windows. Look amazing.

Karen, this is fantastic! Love this room. I would love to see more photos but I'm glad you uploaded a very large image so that we could really have a better look around.
I like those window treatments, love the striped fabrics and the sailboat pillow cases. What i like very much also is the shelf running around the room high up on the wall filled with littel cool stuff like the sailboat, the old leather case, books and some vases etc.
Really well done.
BTW, I had a good laugh at your comment on my blog post regarding the duckling reminding you of Milton Berle. . .that was hilarious and I could see that too.
Thanks, love your work.

I love the lighting. There is something about sunlight through a sailboat's sales that just makes me smile. Wonderful room!
